New to Peace Hair Braiding? Here is everything to know before your first appointment with Abla.

Prepare your hair
Come with clean, detangled, completely dry hair. Wash the night before or the morning of, and avoid heavy oils or products. Stretched or blown-out hair works best.
Relax and get styled
Arrive at the private suite inside Sola Salon Studios. Parking is free, Wi-Fi is free, and the conversation is good.
Good to know
- Hair is included for many styles. Knotless, box braids, feed-ins and Senegalese twists include it. For passion twists, kinky twists, crochet and goddess or boho styles, you bring or buy the hair.
- Appointments take one to eight hours. Cornrows take one to two hours, knotless and box braids three to five, and goddess styles can take up to eight.
- Kids are welcome. Abla braids children ages 4 and up, and kids’ styles start at $60.
- Braids last four to eight weeks. Use a satin bonnet at night and a light oil on the scalp, and keep water away the first week. See the aftercare guide.
- Payment is after your service. Abla takes cash, all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Cash App.
